The image uploads in the background; its URL opens in your browser and lands in the clipboard. No account needed.

What is Snimok?
Snimok is a screenshot tool for macOS. Press ⌘⇧7 or click the menu-bar icon, drag over part of the screen, and the capture uploads in the background: its link opens in your browser and is copied to the clipboard. Every capture gets a page where you can annotate, tag, describe and share it.
Is Snimok free?
Yes. The Mac app and the website are free, with no paid plan and no limit on how many captures you keep or browse.
Do I need an account to take screenshots?
No. Without an account, captures belong to your Mac and you can open and edit them from the links. Create an account later and everything you captured is attached to it, so you can browse it from any browser.
Can Snimok record GIFs?
Yes. Press ⌘⇧8, select an area and record up to 15 seconds; a small panel lets you stop or cancel. The GIF uploads like a screenshot and gets its own link. ⌘⇧9 captures a single window.
How do I find an old screenshot?
Search for any word that appears on the image: the Mac app recognises text on-device with Apple Vision (English and Russian). Search also covers titles, descriptions, tags, the app you captured from and the web page title or address. Filters like #tag, app:Safari or site:github.com narrow it down.
Who can see my screenshots?
Only people you send the link to. Links are random and unguessable, capture pages are hidden from search engines, and a capture set to “Only me” opens for nobody but you.
Can I move my screenshots from Gyazo?
Yes. Settings → Import from Gyazo copies your whole Gyazo library with the original dates, apps, page titles and recognised text. See Snimok as a Gyazo alternative.
